Sonny John Moore was born on January 15^th, 1988. He grew up in Northeast Los Angeles, California. His love of music started when he was 12. “I discovered Aphex Twin (and) became obsessed with glitch, acid house, IDM, Autechre, Squarepusher,”. These artists influenced him in starting to make music. Sonny used FL studio (the same program I use!) at first, and today uses Ableton Live (I use that too!). His music career was started, hovever when the band From First to Last (still a band) needed a guitarist. He asked them to join and they gladly took him in (he was only 16 at the time). He later became their lead singer in 2004. He sang in FFTL for 3 years, and then his vocal cords were worn out from singing so much, so he had to quit. After this he made his music under his name Twipz. His songs were originally published on MySpace (woah whats that?). On June 7^th, 2010, under Skrillex, he released his first EP - My Name Is Skrillex. This was the first album from him that I had listened to. He has some poplular songs that were used in lots of things, from video games to tv. In 2011, his laptops were stolen from the hotel he was staying at. These contained lots of his unreleased songs, and all his old things. He said "I spent a week pulling my hair out but now im just focussing on the future and re making my album." That next album was Bangarang. One of the most popular songs on it was "Breakin' a Sweat" which featured the remaining members of The Doors. There is a movie called Re:Generation Music Project which shows them working to create the song. I think Skrillex will be a successful artist for many years.
